Transported SF

Are you tired of doing the same old things in the same old places? Then get on the bus \'cause Transported is about to change everything. We start with an already famous mobile venue that runs on veggie oil. Once a week we assemble an intrepid crew of participants (that\'s YOU) for hijinx all over San Francisco. Offerings include a mobile theater, dance club or restaurant -- not to mention our \"experimental\" nights where anything goes. The famous bus DasFrachtgut transforms with a flick of the wrist to meet the needs of the night -- a movie screen descends from the ceiling, a sound system appears from beneath the seats, or tables get mounted down the center of the bus. Then we add the funniest movies, the best DJs, or the tastiest food in town and you get an unforgettable night, every time.

Art Reach, Outdoor Sculpture Project
June 7 - September 15, 2007

Art Works Downtown and the City of San Rafael are very pleased to
announce the first phase of a permanent program of outdoor sculpture to
be installed in five locations in and around downtown San Rafael
(see specific locations below).

Requirements: This is the first phase of a permanent program for San
Rafael, and we anticipate growth into more locations in the future. We are
interested in sculptures that are innovative in design and materials and that
may be interactive in a variety of ways: in their design and installation, in
how they relate to their environment, and in how the public may interact with
them. Sculptures should be large enough to be visible from the street.
Sculptures will be selected by a jury of artists.

Exhibition Calendar

May 4 Slides or sketches and artist resume due, including your public art experience (if any). Please include telephone and email contact info.
